Material and process requirements The self-tapping locking screw should be made of high-quality carburized steel cold heading, generally no larger than M12. The finished material should be drawn with a high total reduction rate before cold heading, so that the cold heading must be spheroidized. Annealing, in order to enhance the surface hardness and the toughness of the core, most of them are made of medium and low carbon steel. The chemical composition of the material in the standard is only for guidance. The C content is 0.13%~0.37%, the Mn content is 0.64%~1.71%, and the B content can reach 0.005%. The elements of S, P, Mn and Si in the commonly used steel are generally lower than those of the ordinary bolt steel of the same grade. And the surface quality of the material is strictly controlled to reduce deformation resistance and prevent deformation and cracking. Commonly used grades are 20Mn, 15MnB, SWRCH22A, 1022A and medium carbon steel, medium carbon alloy steel SWRCH35K, SCM435, SCR435, etc. Self-tapping locking screws are threads with an arc-shaped triangular cross-section, so the formulation of cold heading and wire rolling processes, as well as the design and manufacture of cold heading dies and special rolling plates are very important. Self-tapping locking screws require a high-hard surface for cutting and extruding capabilities due to the need for self-tapping low carbon steel. At the same time, there must be sufficient core strength and toughness to prevent twisting and breaking during work. The heat treatment process of this type of screw belongs to shallow carburizing. Regardless of whether it is made of low carbon steel or medium carbon or medium carbon alloy steel, its core hardness must be guaranteed to be within the range of 28~38HRC (9.8 grade) 33~39HRC (10.9 grade) and not less than the minimum tensile load of 930MPa (9.8 grade), 1040MPa (grade 10.9), depending on the material, the minimum tempering temperature is 420℃. In order to ensure that the self-tapping locking screw can be smoothly screwed into the prefabricated cylindrical hole, the end of the screw should be hardened by high-frequency quenching to ensure that at least one to three thread teeth are hardened, and the minimum surface hardness is 45HRC.

nut is a connecting nut, a part that is screwed together with a bolt or connecting screw for fastening, and a component that must be used in all production and manufacturing machinery. There are many kinds of nuts, we commonly have standard, German standard, British standard, American standard, Japanese standard nuts. According to different materials, nuts are divided into carbon steel, high strength, stainless steel, plastic steel and other types. According to the product attributes, the corresponding standard numbers are divided into ordinary, non-standard, standard, new standard, American system, British system, and German standard. Different sizes, unequal threads are divided into different specifications. The general standard and German standard are represented by M, and the American system and the British system are represented by fractions or #. The specification nut is a part that tightly connects the mechanical equipment. Only through the inner thread, the same specification nut and screw can be connected together. The anti-loosening of the screw has always been the intersection of people's attention. The anti-loosening of the nut is of great significance to the current life, because it directly affects the service life of the machine. Therefore, it is also very important for people's life safety. Technicians can achieve the anti-feeding of the nut by changing the material of the nut and increasing the method of tightening the nut, but these methods cannot fundamentally solve the problem, and increase the tightening nut while taking up more space.

The common riveting techniques of non-blind rivets are divided into cold riveting and hot riveting. Cold riveting is a riveting method that uses a rivet rod to partially pressurize the rivet, and continuously swings around the center or the rivet is forced to expand until the rivet is formed. The common cold riveting methods are the pendulum riveting method and the radial riveting method. The pendulum rolling riveting method is easy to understand, and the rivet head only swings and rolls in the circumferential direction.

The bolt thread is generally cold worked, so that the thread blank within a certain diameter range passes through the rubbing (rolling) wire plate (die), and the thread is formed by the pressure of the wire plate (rolling die). The plastic streamline of the threaded part is not cut off, the strength is increased, the precision is high, and the quality is uniform, so it is widely used. In order to make the outer diameter of the thread of the final product, the required thread blank diameter is different, because it is limited by factors such as thread accuracy and whether the material is coated or not. Rolling (rubbing) thread is a processing method that uses plastic deformation to form thread teeth. It uses a rolling (screwing plate) die with the same pitch and tooth shape as the thread to be processed, while extruding the cylindrical screw blank, while rotating the screw blank, and finally transferring the tooth shape on the rolling die to the On the screw blank, the thread is formed. The common point of rolling (rubbing) thread processing is that the number of rolling revolutions does not need to be too much. If it is too much, the efficiency will be low, and the surface of the thread teeth will easily cause separation or random buckle. On the contrary, if the number of revolutions is too small, the diameter of the thread is easy to be out of round, and the pressure at the initial stage of rolling increases abnormally, resulting in a shortening of the life of the die. Common defects of rolled threads: cracks or scratches on the surface of the thread part; random buckles; out of roundness of the thread part. If these defects occur in large numbers, they will be discovered during the processing stage. If the number of occurrences is small, the production process does not notice these defects and then circulates to users, causing trouble. Therefore, the key issues of processing conditions should be summarized, and these key factors should be controlled in the production process.

Commonly used screw materials in my country are No. 45 steel, 40Cr, ammoniated steel, 38CrMOAl, superalloy, etc. 1) No. 45 steel is cheap and has good processing performance, but poor wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Heat treatment: quenched and tempered HB220-270, high-frequency quenched HRC45--48. 2) The performance of 40Cr is better than that of No. 45 steel, but it is often plated with a layer of chromium to improve its corrosion resistance and wear resistance. However, the requirements for the chrome plating layer are relatively high. If the plating layer is too thin, it is easy to wear, and if it is too thick, it is easy to peel off. After peeling off, it will accelerate the corrosion, and it has been rarely used. Heat treatment: quenched and tempered HB220—270, hard chrome plated HRC>553) nitrided steel, 38CrMoAl have excellent comprehensive properties and are widely used. Generally, the nitride layer reaches 0.4-0.6 mm. However, this material has low resistance to hydrogen chloride corrosion and is relatively expensive. 4) The superalloy material is superior to other materials. This material does not need coating, and is mainly used for the raw halogen-free screw of injection molding machine. The material has high oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance.
